Frage: Ich nutze u.a. #LibreOffice auf macOS. Die aktuell Version ist auf einem etwas älteren Intel iMac (3,4 Ghz i7, 16 GB, SSD immerhin) inzwischen so langsam, dass ich schneller tippe, als die Buchstaben am Bildschirm auftauchen - und nein, ich bin keine besonders flinke und geübte Schreibkraft.

Hat jemand Vorschläge, was ich alternativ nutzen könnte?

In my experience, the #LibreOffice Calc "VALUEDATE" function can't parse most date text string formats that #Gnumeric, #Excel, Google Sheets (and even Apple's "Numbers" app, apparently) can handle.

I was quite surprised to not be able to find an existing bug report about this, so I filed one, and have to convince people that being able to parse different date formats is a nice thing for that parsing function to be able to do: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170107

Vi bör alla minska beroende av US-amerikanska företag. Jag har själv bytt webbläsare från Firefox till Vivaldi, sökmotor från Google till Qwant, är på gång med byte av mejleverantör från Gmail (Google) till Proton Mail och har lämnat X. Sen länge har jag använt LibreOffice som kontorsprgram, dvs för ordbehandling, kalkylering, presentationer etc.
