Had to deal with some nonsense from my dad-in-law today:

"I'm not for banning books at libraries, but indoctrinating kids, I'm not for that either."

My dude who have you seen "indoctrinating" kids? Librarians are the best of us & want folks to get information they need or want.

I told him straight up that reacting with fear to ppl having information is a sign of insecurity not strength. That put an end to it.

And yeah, I knew what he meant by indoctrination.
