Feedback always welcome - as are additional resource suggestions! I'll probably use this annotated list professionally come October during #CyberSecurityAwareness Month so there's a lot of time to offer more recommendations that I'd appreciate a ton <3

Cybersecurity LibGuide
Welcome to Library Monster's Cybersecurity subject guide! This is a UIUC graduate class assignment: Reference Service & Instruction, dated 5/4/2026. I got 96% on the assignment :D This subject guide is meant to assist adults in keeping their sensitive and private information secure, and what to do if they believe their data has been compromised. This is particularly relevant post-COVID, as basic life activities have increased in requiring engagement with digital/online interfaces and in the wake of widespread artificial intelligence services, many scam and fraud tactics have become far more difficult to spot and prevent. Regarding tag organization of resources, I've included what the resource is (a website, a book, a film, etc.); what kind of authority the source is (government, nonprofit, etc); related topics; and finally, what stage of a cybersecurity issue the resource offers assistance with: prevention (education & protection measures), detection (alerts that one's data may be compromised), and response (recovering the safety & protection of your data).
