Am 30.12.2019 berichtete der Augenarzt #LiWenliang in einer WeChat-Gruppe über ein eigenartiges Coronavirus in seinem Spital. Er erfuhr darauf Repressalien der Behörden.
Wenige Tage später erkrankte er selbst an #Covid19 und starb am 6.2.20.
Ich lese gerade auf Wikipedia, dass Dr. Li bei Ausbruch seiner Covid-19-Symptome in ein Hotel gezogen ist, um seine Familie nicht anzustecken. Und seine Frau gerade schwanger war und ihr und Lis zweites Kind mehrere Monate nach seinem Tod, im Juni 2020, zur Welt gebracht hat.

The more time passes, the more surreal this video becomes. I still remember #LiWenliang who tried to warn the world when #SARS-CoV-2 was first called #nCoV-2019. I still remember the terrifying videos from #Wuhan. I also remember the horrifying #DiamondPrincess incident. I tried to warn my loved ones of what is coming for the world. They ridiculed me. Laughed at me. "Oh it's just a flu somwhere in China." Now look at our world. Look at it. One big hellscape.
But most importantly:
This novel coronavirus could only become a #pandemic because the strict top-down rule of the #CCP in #China does not honor the person who points at a problem from below or rings an alarm but punishes that person instead.
In China, the messenger always gets shot. From whistleblowing doctor #LiWenliang to citizen journalist and blogger #ZhangZhan, those who challenged the party's narrative got punished.
