@Unixbigot youvcould propably even get more range with some drop-in #LiFePO4 cells designed to replace lead-acid batteries...

@mrpjevans yes #sunshine exists even in #UK every once and a while :D cool with the 10kWh #lifepo4 ? be careful with that... better place it outside the house as stated a billion times, need someone who can do #bcp for a #bms for #lifepo4 then it can be handled save.

@andymoose Pretty shure you can even get a long range with just some #LiFePO4 cells


  • Either way you'll have to adjust the voltage inputs and I'd highly recommend to add in some proper BMS to prevent critical discharge...

Klar, wĂ€r ja auch zu einfach gewesen... 😅

Muss die Dinger doch noch etwas im Vorraus ausgleichen...
Meine pragmatische Lösung ist die Zellen bis zum abschalten vom BMS zu laden und danach parallel schalten. ZusĂ€tzlich hĂ€ng ich noch ein Labornetzteil hin, wobei dies nicht so viel bringt. Ne quasi 5000Ah Batterie mit 5A aufzuladen ist witzlos... 😅
ZusĂ€tzlich etwas Leistung von außen hilft aber evtl. die Ladungen auszugleichen (also fĂŒhlt sich halt gut an... 😅)

Concerned about a couple cells in one of my 24v LiFePo4 batteries. Cells 4 and 5 once above a certain voltage just race into overvoltage. This battery will be relatively well balance until it hits 28V, then a minute later it's seriously out of balance and gone into overvoltage protection at 29V.

Any thoughts?

Auto kun on ollut seisonnassa nyt kylmimmÀn talven ajan niin olikin #LiFePo4 akku pÀÀssyt tyhjenemÀÀn niin paljon, ettÀ BMS oli mennyt suojatilaan. EipÀ muuta kuin lÀmpöÀ, kennot sarjamuodosta irti ja 0,01C virralla nostamaan jÀnnitettÀ ensin pareittain ja sitten kaikki rinnan.
Illalla olikin kennot jo aika rasvassa ja sai normaalin latauksen pÀÀlle yön yli.

Braucht ihr noch eine #LiFePo4 Batterie? Scheint wohl jetzt ein guter Zeitpunkt zu sein, welche zu kaufen.
Anscheinend sind Materialkosten gestiegen.
Von einem chinesischer Distributor fĂŒr Akkus bekam ich eben die Mail, dass sie alle laufenden Bestellungen storniert haben, da die alten Preise nicht mehr gĂŒltig seien. Preissteigerung von 15-20% wurde genannt.
Vielleicht ist das nix, vielleicht kommen aber solche Preissteigerungen demnÀchst auch hier an.
