Last night I fixed my pf firewall rule to allow traffic out of the jail and onto the VPN.

# for accessing the hidden master
pass out quick on $VPN inet proto tcp from $MUSTER_VPN to $DNS_HIDDEN_MASTER port domain keep state

This morning, the named logs show nothing of interest.

Today, I'll work on getting the nsupdate hook working with https://www.freshports.org/security/acme.sh/ so that DNS propagation occurs automagically.
