@siracusa That Apple was able to strip all the art out of the Finder icon; what was originally a perfectly executed, joyous Picasso-homage of two intersecting lines making an overlaid profile and portrait, is now a worthless, soulless brand logo, with no more nourishment to the human spirit than a Nike swoosh, says a lot about the people who work there now.
Gods... if there are any people with Art knowledge there, they probably think they're making Juddian Specific Objects 🤦♂️
This weird graphical hook-looking-thing to the left is supposed to indicate the grey speech bubble replies to the image in the #macOS #Messages app.
I thought it was some graphical glitch, but it's INTENTIONAL. The top of it has no relationship to the reply item. Who in their right mind would release this to shipping software?
All it needed, was an arrowhead pointing to the right (as demonstrated).
Modern #Apple really are catastrophically bad at #UI #Design.

I remember back round 2005 I used to use #OmniGraffle, a really nice #Mac app to build network topology diagrams - it had all these really detailed rendered images of computers, network switches etc. Trying it out now, and all it seems to have are some really cheap-looking, thin line drawings of a watch, a couple of phones and tablets.
It looks like an enterprise Windows app. #LessIsLess
