Leptostomia begaaensis was an azhdarchoid pterosaur from the middle Cretaceous of eastern Morocco!

The only material we have of Leptostomia is a piece from the top and bottom of the bill, so it’s insanely cool to know that the authors describing it were able to narrow it down to azhdarchoidea!

#Leptostomia begaaensis was a small(ish), probe-feeding pterodactyloid #pterosaur from the #Cretaceous of #Morocco!

Its generic name translates to “slender mouth”, and its specific name is a reference to the village of Hassi El Begaa near the Kem Kem Group in Morocco!
