Oftentimes, cameras aren't allowed in court rooms, or they are allowed in a limited capacity. There comes the tradition of the court sketch artist.

AI can't capture the essence of the judge looking skeptical or the prosecutor about to call BS. It literally wouldn't be recording actual events.

Hey #LegalMastodon, if I wanted to make a non-legally binding offer in a negotiation, is there specific language for that? That is, I want to offer something that I don't want to be legally bound to in any way - they'll have to take it on faith.

To give a little more detail, they want me to do X. I'm willing to do X, but I don't want to be legally or contractually bound in any way (so if they don't like the way I do X, or if they decide to be difficult and claim I didn't do X to their satisfaction, they have no recourse). I shouldn't have to do X, but I'm willing to do it to achieve closure.

Is there a way to put that in writing, without making it contractual?
