sgt1372Bob's Donuts on Polk (as distinguished from the others) is an SF institution, not unlike Swan's Oyster Depot down the street.
I remember going to Bob's to buy donuts when I was just a kid in the 50's after visiting Woolworth's across the street & it's amazing that it's still around.
Frankly, their donuts aren't anything special -- there's another donut shop located down the street -- but it's the fact that they're open all night long & community vibe that comes with it which makes Bob's unique.
