Hulk: Tempest Fugit – Der Sturm (Marvel Must-Have)
Mit dem fünfteiligen Storyarc Tempest Fugit kehrt eine Legende zu jenem Titel zurück, der sie großgemacht hat: Autor Peter David und The Incredible Hulk werden nicht umsonst häufig in einem Atemzug genannt, hat David in den 80ern und 90ern für den grünen Riesen doch Großes vollbracht und das Storytelling in Superheldencomics nachhaltig mitgeprägt. Tempest Fugit erschien 2005 als eigenständige Geschichte innerhalb der Hauptserie (Incredible Hulk #77-81). Anlass für Panini, den Comic in seiner kompakten „Marvel-Must-Have“-Reihe für Hulk-Neulinge aufzubereiten. Worauf wartet ihr noch, Puny Humans! Ein Blick in die Tiefen des Ozeans. Wir folgen einem Hai, der langsam in der Ferne verschwindet. Dann schwimmt der Hai wieder auf uns zu, er blutet aus seinem Maul und als sich der Kopf zur Seite neigt, merken wir, dass er in der Mitte geteilt wurde. Der Grund dafür: eine Konfrontation mit dem „Unglaublichen Hulk“, der nun auf dem Meeresboden gemächlich auf uns zu stapft, in der Hand die Schwanzflosse des Hais. I like how without the full image, it looks like he's bouncing rocks on his foot.
Card 087: Terror, Inc.
Truly one of the oddest characters to get a trading card - or really, a comic book in the first place. Def in the running for "most of the moment" character in the set as well.
Card 086: Nomad
Nomad is a great example of a character who seems like a much bigger deal than he is based on his trading card appearances.
Origin: Is also a Captain America.
Card 085: Hardcore
One of the downsides of the mixed hero/villain approach in this set is that the villains tend to get crowded out; it doesn't help that the few villain spots get handed out to these flavors of the week.
Card 084: Falcon
Another character sporting a brief new look, as well as another one sort of off on his own at this time.
I guess that origin is as good or better than "likes bird."
