“Crash 2” Confirms Cast Lineup And Broadcast Plans
Twist! Evil and not evil may be reversed!
Lee Min Ki as Joseon nobleman is not a look I expected. It works though.
This is a bit more serious than movie 1. Still, our heroes are ridiculous. And Lee Min Ki does a very good evil vampire. 🧛♂️
There is a sequel! Detective K:Secret of the Living Dead! And the baddie is Lee Min Ki! And it's available on YouTube! That's Christmas Eve movie night sorted!
Lee Min Ki’s Relentless Pursuit Pushes Kim Tae Woo To His Breaking Point In “Mary Kills People”
First off, this was very sweet. I did care about the leads and I did want them to end up together.
However, it also felt like a light and cute version of #BeautyInside, which I watched ages ago (the series with #LeeMinKi and #SeoHyunJin , not the movie). Which isn't terrible, but I wish it had gone deeper.

My Liberation Notes
(2022 - Netflix, 16 1:07 eps)
A slow-paced, slice-of-life drama about 3 siblings who work in Seoul but live in the countryside & commute. See the comment about slow dramas.
At this pace with sparse dialogue, the acting has to be phenomenal to keep our interest & convey meaning - body position, a glance, a sigh, a gesture mean so much. No action, little romance, & characters that are annoying & unremarkable mean that the drama is the story & it delivers.
You wonder what is the point? Is this all there is? Will I ever know myself? How do I navigate a relationship without giving up myself? The development of the characters as they try to discover themselves & their purposes takes us on a journey as we ponder the same questions.
Detailed sound & cinematography w/ interesting symbolism are great at contrasting the city & country scenes.

Because This Is My First Life
(2017 - Netflix, 16 1:10 eps)
Unique storytelling made this a standout. It's a slice-of-life drama concerning love & marriage that was presented in a quiet but fresh way. The narrative & dialogue surprises you frequently when its simplicity becomes profound. The casting & acting was excellent.
3 adult relationships develop through the show. We see 3 women in different job situations being affected by the patriarchy. But we also get to see men oppose it. It is rare to see a woman being allowed to be smart, cute, sexy, strong, & determined - especially all in 1 character.
Unfortunately, there is 1 thing that ruined the flow toward the end. Overlooking that it was a good drama with some great messages.

Behind Your Touch
(2023 - Netflix, 16 1:05 eps)
Much more entertaining than I imagined. A vet can see someone's past by touching the person's butt & she teams up with a detective to solve cases. It's not perfect: The FL is quite annoying at times & the story is sometimes quite unbelievable. But the humor is good. There is very, very little romance involved.
The ways in which they contrive to allow the vet to touch someone's butt is quite silly. The FL's best friend is a fabulous character. She & her groupies add so much to the entire story. It is a murder mystery sort of thriller & gets a bit intense in the last couple of episodes. But overall a funny one with cute animals.
