Handmade HeartsHey, this turned out alright! Aesthetically, anyway. The structural integrity of this baby is NonExist. I had to hand-sew some holes that popped out of the seams — but it looks great from a distance!

As a #BeginnerSewer I've been struggling to find affordable fabric I felt comfortable practising on.

I saw a friend of mine had made sock dogs, and I have a butt ton of worn out socks (and wanted a fun project while #LearningToSew) so I made Dot.
She’s a little wonky, but she’s frickin cute!
Weirdly there comes a point in toy making where it begins to feel a bit violent, around when she got a head and became a she… or is that just me?

I'm love-love-loving the process of #LearningToSew. In my opinion, it's well worth taking that class and accepting that you may not love the finished product because you'll learn so much about the #Process. One big thing that I'm learning is to make #WearableToiles so that I'm less invested in the finished product, first time that I try something new. I've learned a LOT that way and I'm really happy with what I'm starting to make. I learned a lot at a knits class.
