What a thing of beauty I have made. Huge thanks to An Caítan Beag for the pattern and kit. I shall have to find a fabulous frock to wear it with and show it off with the lovely silver shawl pin that belong with it.

Matthew did also help me out with another project today. Showing how big my scarf is now it's finally blocking!
Pinning the picot edging on one side of the triangle took the longest, I nearly ran out of pins!
The #LeafStormShawl is off the needles! Still need to weave in the ends and block (kids jigsaw floor mats on order) but I'm still dead chuffed with it! #Knitting
[Edited to add image description! I do always try to include them, so do pick me up on it if I forget!]
Finish last row of silk, 80 stitches.
Perl setup row of mohair, 80 stitches. Do first row of lace pattern, did I mess up? Seems OK, carry on. Perl WS row, *not* 81 stitches, and there's a bit where the lace pattern is wrong. And it's on the first repeat.
Tink one row of perl, attempt to tink one row of lace, fail, tink second row of perl. Spend some time sorting and straightening out last row of silk, 80 stitches. Back where we started!
I have now successfully repeated the three rows in mohair, and probably have the correct 81 stitches. I haven't actually counted but the rows all ended in the right place and the pattern is right this time!
No photos, phone out of battery :D
Phew.
#knitting progress. Now at 28 out of 36 repeats of a 4 row chunk, before we switch to the mohair and lace. #LeafStormShawl
Next job: get that circular cable straightened out a bit before it's really needed!
Can't join the #UCURising picketline today because I'm still covid-isolating (though much better).
Instead I have a YouTube party mix (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPRqPAHd1iTgRwPoBshprZPlDaTcA_RS1) and my #knitting.
This is probably my most grown-up proper knit ever, and I'm loving it so far. (Ask me again when I get to the lace bits!)
My tamed yarn is now a wonky swatch for gauge. Need to cast on more neatly, and off more loosely!
