Près du marché des Enfants-Rouges, à Paris, une plaque d’égout s’est offert une petite poussée de joie colorée.
Quelques cabochons brillants autour du métal, et soudain le trottoir ressemble moins à un trottoir qu’à une chasse au trésor urbaine. Comme quoi, même une bouche d’égout peut décider de sortir les bijoux.

Le Salon chinois de Victor Hugo, dans sa maison de la place des Vosges, à Paris.
Un décor foisonnant, presque théâtral, où l’écrivain n’a pas seulement aligné des meubles : il a composé une sorte de poème en bois sculpté, laque, panneaux asiatiques et imagination très hugolienne. Bref, quand Victor Hugo décorait, il ne faisait pas vraiment dans le minimalisme zen.
