之前美国的无家可归者问题变得严重，有一种观点认为，既然#监狱本身是#纳税人出钱供养的，那么如果政府不愿意花钱救助无家可归者的话，可以通过#法律和监狱让祂们有地方御寒和充饥
但这位律师的第一手观察则是，尽管这一想法可能出于善意，但无家可归者自己的意志是完全反对的，祂们宁愿露宿街头也不愿在监狱和#看守所度日

让人想起#欧亨利的《#警察与赞美诗》和之前看的日剧《#一桥桐子的犯罪日记》，祂们都是为了求生存想通过犯罪来解决温饱问题。虽然看起来相反，都是社会在对#弱势群体的救助#失职之下，祂们被迫在一个坏选择和另一个更坏的选择之间做决定的绝望境地
