This video is well worth seeing and hearing. Laurence Tribe is not of the "all is lost" school of thinking.

In 1854, in slavery days, the very first Republican document to be widely circulated said this: "For ourselves, we shall resist it by speech and vote, and with all the abilities which God has given us. Even if overcome in the impending struggle we shall not submit. We shall go home to our constituents, erect anew the standard of Freedom, and call on the People to come to the rescue of the country from the domination of Slavery. We will not despair: for the cause of Human Freedom is the cause of God." In our own times, we may need to take a similar stance.

Evidently not a lot of folks here have an opinion to express about the president arresting Injustices Alito and Thomas. Doing it seems really obvious to me. Too obvious? Maybe a legendary constitutional law scholar such as Laurence Tribe could come up with a better test of the Trump Reich Supreme Court's break-from-reality presidential immunity ruling. This is the best test I can come up with. Arresting Alito, Thomas, and maybe Gorsuch - okay, probably Gorsuch - okay, okay, definitely Gorsuch - people who authorized the president to do it - seems like the perfect test. The president can jail those three injustices and see the response coming from those who "serve" on the Supreme Court who have not been arrested yet. Makes sense to me. Who has Professor Tribe's phone number or email address?
