The #ceasefire appears to be localised to #Laukkai, also known as #Laukkaing, the capital of #Kokang.

Regaining control of the region, a "self-administered zone" which the #MNDAA controlled until 2009, would be the culmination of a 14-year quest for the ethnic Kokang army which is led by the Peng clan.
