護職短缺一直是高齡化社會的顯著問題，而《失控夜班》以相當寫實而純粹的形式，展現了醫護人員的值班一日，並在突發事件與重複動作之間來回奔命，全片幾乎沒有喘息的時間，時刻流露著焦慮情緒，但仍能從一些溫暖的瞬間看見人性光輝，另外畫面經常有意無意的帶到主角手上的刺青，個人認為刺青代表的是護職以外的身分提示，不只是人員，而是獨立的人。

護職短缺一直是高齡化社會的顯著問題，而《失控夜班》以相當寫實而純粹的形式，展現了醫護人員的值班一日，並在突發事件與重複動作之間來回奔命，全片幾乎沒有喘息的時間，時刻流露著焦慮情緒，但仍能從一些溫暖的瞬間看見人性光輝，另外畫面經常有意無意的帶到主角手上的刺青，個人認為刺青代表的是護職以外的身分提示，不只是人員，而是獨立的人。 後段歸還手錶的設計，不禁讓人思考這部電影所傳達的信念，基本上主角在片中的形象是完美無瑕的（包括他對病人發火也是，因為它符合觀眾對角色的期盼），且略帶有英雄主義的行為表徵，所以當主角在最後歸還了自己扔出去，而對方也表示可以送他的手錶後，等於言明了就算多麼痛苦的勞工階級，也不能犯下任何不良的舉措，而這些完美的勞工，就活在如此職場地獄裡日復一日。這是一個好人支撐社會的概念，那沒那麼好或是更糟的人呢？也許對現存體制的批判與尋求改變不是此片訴求，但總覺得少了一點銳利且拒絕現況存續的表態抗議，是很可惜的事。 當然電影本身仍是好看的，故事與議題本身容易引起觀眾的共鳴之餘，Leonie Benesch的表演也十分精湛，舉手投足都讓人信服其角色所需的專業性與行為動機，與多組病患角色之間的互動，尤其是眼神皆令人印象深刻。最終在回家路上主角與「死亡」相伴，更是點醒了護職所面對的不只是無止盡的雜碎瑣事，而是真切的生命。
