@burgerbecky My guess is that if a landlord buys up all the houses in the area, it can A. rent them out at inflated prices or B. demolish the houses to make hotels. This is the kind of situation illustrated in Elizabeth Magie's Landlord's Game (later modified by Charles Darrow as Monopoly).

@dryak @PhilippBayer Good idea. If anyone has made a playable version of the #LandlordsGame using a modern #MonopolyGame set, or a recreation of the original, I'd be up for trying it out...

@thw Eigentlich fänd ich es interessanter als Neuauflage von #LandlordsGame, dem Vorgänger von Monopoly der von einer Frau entwickelt wurde um über die Problematik von Landbesitzern/Kapital-Besitzern aufzuklären – was dann später von den Brüdern geklaut wurde und kommerzialisiert :)
