Si è svolto ieri, a Palermo, nella splendida Sala Mattarella del Palazzo dei Normanni, sede dell’ARS – Assemblea Regionale Siciliana, l’incontro con Istituzioni e studenti di Arte e Musica dal titolo “Il GrandTour abbraccia le bellezze del patrimonio storico di Sicilia. Claudio Baglioni dialoga con gli studenti di arte e di musica di Palermo”.
Al centro dell’incontro il progetto musicale dal vivo “GrandTour LA VITA È ADESSO”, che rappresenta il culmine delle celebrazioni del 40° anniversario dell’album più venduto di sempre nella storia della musica italiana “LA VITA È ADESSO, IL SOGNO È SEMPRE”.
Da fine giugno fino a metà settembre 2026, il GrandTour si svilupperà in 40 incantevoli luoghi nei più suggestivi scenari all’aperto del Bel Paese: il percorso seguirà itinerari di grande interesse culturale e di valore storico, archeologico, artistico e paesaggistico, invitando gli spettatori a divenire protagonisti di un viaggio irripetibile attraverso la bellezza, l’incanto della musica e la forza di emozioni senza tempo.
Proprio in Sicilia si terrà il maggior numero di tappe previste in una regione: il 23 e 24 luglio al Teatro Greco di SIRACUSA, il 26 e 27 luglio alla Live Arena di AGRIGENTO, il 28 e 29 luglio al Teatro Di Verdura di PALERMO e il 31 luglio e 1°agosto al Teatro Antico di TAORMINA (ME).

An event took place yesterday in Palermo, in the splendid Sala Mattarella of the Palazzo dei Normanni, headquarters of the ARS – Sicilian Regional Assembly, titled “The GrandTour Embraces the Beauties of Sicily’s Historical Heritage. Claudio Baglioni Dialogues with Students of Art and Music from Palermo.”

At the center of the event was the live musical project “GrandTour LA VITA È ADESSO,” which represents the culmination of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the best-selling album of all time in the history of Italian music, “LA VITA È ADESSO, IL SOGNO È SEMPRE.”

From late June to mid-September 2026, the GrandTour will develop in 40 enchanting locations in the most suggestive outdoor settings of the Bel Paese: the route will follow itineraries of great cultural interest and historical, archaeological, artistic, and landscape value, inviting spectators to become part of an unforgettable journey through beauty, the charm of music, and the force of timeless emotions.

Specifically in Sicily, the largest number of stops will be held in a region: July 23 and 24 at the Teatro Greco of SIRACUSA, July 26 and 27 at the Live Arena of AGRIGENTO, July 28 and 29 at the Teatro Di Verdura of PALERMO and July 31 and August 1 at the Teatro Antico of TAORMINA (ME).

Prende il via il ciclo di incontri territoriali promosso da Islands of Sicily, la DMO delle Isole di Sicilia, in sinergia con i Comuni delle isole minori, per presentare agli operatori turistici e agli stakeholder locali gli aggiornamenti sul Programma di Promozione 2026.
Si parte il 7 aprile da Ustica (ore 18:00, Info point / Centro di accoglienza A.M.P. Ustica), per poi proseguire con le tappe di Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Favignana, Lipari, Salina, Panarea, Filicudi, Vulcano e Stromboli. L’iniziativa si inserisce in un percorso condiviso di sviluppo e valorizzazione della destinazione, portato avanti con il coinvolgimento attivo delle amministrazioni comunali, degli operatori e del tessuto economico locale.
Nel corso degli incontri verranno illustrate le principali azioni già avviate e quelle in programma, anche alla luce delle recenti partecipazioni alle principali fiere internazionali di settore. Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata al nuovo DMS (Destination Management System) delle Isole di Sicilia, piattaforma innovativa che rappresenterà un punto di accesso unico per la promozione integrata di attrazioni, esperienze e servizi turistici. Il sistema garantirà visibilità anche attraverso il portale della Regione Siciliana e il portale nazionale italia.it, oltre a consentire l’allineamento con i portali istituzionali delle singole isole.

Tra le principali funzionalità, il DMS permetterà la commercializzazione diretta dei servizi turistici e fungerà da hub centrale per tutte le attività di promozione – dalle fiere alle campagne digitali, dall’influencer marketing agli educational e workshop sul territorio – contribuendo a massimizzare l’efficacia delle azioni intraprese. La piattaforma metterà inoltre a disposizione degli aderenti un’area riservata con dati aggiornati e strategici sulla destinazione, utili a supportare le decisioni degli operatori e a migliorare la competitività dell’offerta.
Gli incontri rappresentano un’importante occasione di confronto e condivisione, con l’obiettivo di rafforzare il coinvolgimento degli operatori locali e favorire una gestione sempre più integrata e coordinata della destinazione.

Islands of Sicily: Launch of the territorial meetings cycle on the 2026 Promotion Program

The cycle of territorial meetings promoted by Islands of Sicily, the DMO of the Islands of Sicily, in synergy with the municipalities of the islands, is launching to present updates on the 2026 Promotion Program to tourism operators and local stakeholders.

It begins on April 7th in Ustica (18:00, Info point / A.M.P. Ustica Reception Center), followed by stops in Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Favignana, Lipari, Salina, Panarea, Filicudi, Vulcano, and Stromboli. The initiative is part of a shared development and valorization pathway of the destination, carried out with the active involvement of municipal administrations, operators, and the local economy.

During the meetings, the main actions already initiated and those planned will be illustrated, also in light of recent participation in major international sector trade fairs. Particular attention will be paid to the new DMS (Destination Management System) of the Islands of Sicily, an innovative platform that will represent a single point of access for the integrated promotion of attractions, experiences and tourist services. The system will also ensure visibility through the Sicily Region portal and the italia.it national portal, as well as allowing alignment with the portals of the individual islands.

Among the main functionalities, the DMS will allow for the direct commercialization of tourist services and will serve as a central hub for all promotional activities – from trade fairs to digital campaigns, influencer marketing to educational and workshops on location – contributing to maximizing the effectiveness of the actions taken. The platform will also make available to members a private area with updated and strategic data on the destination, useful to support the decisions of operators and to improve the competitiveness of the offer.

The meetings represent an important opportunity for discussion and sharing, with the aim of strengthening the involvement of local operators and facilitating a more integrated and coordinated management of the destination.

AGI - Settantuno dispersi, 2 corpi recuperati, 32 migranti sopravvissuti portati a Lampedusa dalla Guardia costiera italiana. "L'imbarcazione, partita da Tajoura (Libia), si è ribaltata a causa delle condizioni meteo avverse". Sintetizza in questo modo l'Oim, l'Organizzazione mondiale delle migrazioni, l'ultima tragedia nel Mediterraneo centrale, consumatasi nella vigilia di Pasqua. "Dopo questa tragedia sono almeno 725 i migranti che hanno perso la vita nel Mediterraneo centrale quest'anno, nonostante la diminuzione di arrivi", commenta l'agenzia delle Nazioni unite.
Così ricostruisce il dramma la Sea Watch, intervenuta sul posto con il velivolo Seabird 2: "Ieri, più di 70 persone sono scomparse in mare quando la loro barca si è capovolta. Solo 32 persone sono sopravvissute aggrappandosi ai rottami della loro barca finché una nave mercantile non li ha finalmente salvati", provenienti principalmente da Pakistan, Bangladesh ed Egitto. Il mezzo stava pattugliando il Mediterraneo, quando la ong tedesca ha appreso che un aereo della Marina francese stava sorvolando una nave in pericolo con persone in acqua: "Quando siamo arrivati, una scena terrificante: 15 persone aggrappate allo scafo di una grande barca di legno, diverse persone in acqua e diversi cadaveri".
Le due navi mercantili vicine Saavedra Tide e Ievoli Grey, sono intervenute lanciando zattere di salvataggio e poi salvando i superstiti. Questa mattina, quest'ultima ha portato a Lampedusa 32 superstiti e due cadaveri. Sull'isola "i superstiti hanno riferito di essere partiti dalla costa libica come un gruppo di 105 persone: si presume quindi che più di 70 siano le persone disperse in mare. Lo Stato italiano, Malta, e l'Unione Europea sapevano delle persone in difficoltà e non sono intervenuti. Cosa dicono quei politici "cristiani" di fronte a questa strage della vigilia di Pasqua?". Il barcone, di colore rosso e marrone, era già affondato quando i soccorritori sono arrivati sul posto. I 32 sopravvissuti, ora nell'hotspot di Lampedusa, sono in stato di forte choc dopo essere rimasti per ore in acqua. Le autorità hanno ascoltato le loro testimonianze per chiarire la dinamica del naufragio.
