Rollleaf has RollledA lesson on less is more. Went with the shade that felt more natural to my style, sparse highlights, and binned the transfers which somehow were more hassle than freehand.

Attached: 2 images In the swings and roundabouts of my painting week. I’ve another Lamenter done, I’m still not totally happy with it. I’m going to change tack. Reflections going forward. - Going to pull back from this shade of yellow, I’ve a really nice shade of Averland Sunset that’s under this as a basecoat and I should just highlight it, think it’ll suit my style more. - chest straps staying yellow, I’m winding myself up with these. - More work required on the checkers. But that half the challenge. 😅

YELLow. Slowly getting there with an approach. Which just seems to be multiple thin layers and a wash at one stage in the middle. Checkers are getting slightly better too.
