The original Gilly's Subs location, Lake City Way N.
Gil was a super-friendly guy, even to us punk kids with paper route money.
The cheese was tangy & UNPARALELLED, never tasted again.
There became 2-3 locations, but this is The ONE.
Had my last Gilly's classic "Mixed Sub" from the Ballard shop, as they transitioned to an Asian fast food joint. Wifey & I ate our subs at Gasworks Park overlooking Lake Union from the grass. It was the Perfect Day.
