#EarthObservation mission impossible?

Need access to pan-sharpened SPOT 6/7 data across large regions in Sub-Saharan #Africa. Context is land systems / #sustainability #science, strictly non-profit, so budget is limited (surprise!). Any hint to hidden archives, institutional databases, research programs, funding lines, or else is valuable!

Surprised and pleased this week to be profiled by NASA Landsat Science as a Landsat user working with satellite data for wetland monitoring. Here's the article:

✨Hey #LadiesOfLandsat community!✨

Some social scientists from the USGS hope to interview @LadiesOfLandsat members about the impact of professional organizations on underrepresented scientists in #EarthObservation sciences. #EOchat #GISchat

If you’re interested in learning more about the study or participating in the interviews, email us at [email protected] and we will connect you directly with the researchers! 🚀🛰️

Exciting news! We have 3⃣ new #LadiesofLandsat leaders who we will highlight this month on #LoLManuscriptMonday. 🚀🛰️

Today we feature Sheryl Reyes who will help with our website, and has helped with Manuscript Monday & #GeoMixers! #EOChat #GISchat

We have loved working with Sheryl over the years! From #GeoMixers to the #ISPRSSC newsletter to a fantastic hybrid session at #ISPRS2022, it’s always a joy to collaborate! We can’t wait to keep working alongside Sheryl through #LadiesofLandsat!

Exciting news! We have 3️⃣ new #LadiesofLandsat leaders who we will highlight this month on #LoLManuscriptMonday.

Today we feature Sarah Schenkein, who helps with our #Landsat9 trading cards & represented us at #AGU22. Be sure to connect with her! #EOChat

Hi everyone! Here’s an #introduction to our organization, #LadiesOfLandsat.

We are working to make the field of #remotesensing more inclusive for underrepresented scientists. 🛰 Our #ScienceMastodon page will be led by @morganahcrowley & @flaviamendes.

Our current efforts include a weekly #LoLManuscriptMonday series, co-hosting the #SceneFromAbove podcast with Sisters of SAR, blogging with #GeoAwesomeness, in-person events, & more!

Thanks for connecting!

Hi everyone!
This is my #introduction
I am Flávia and for more than 15 years I have been working in the field of #earthobservation🛰️ #environmental protection and #ClimateChange in #tropical biomes where my experience lies in managing projects and programs in #forestry🌳 (#carbon) and #landuse.
This year, I joined #Planet Labs as Program Manager of #Forest and #LandUse, in addition I was nominated as Google Expert Developer💻 - #GDE #EarthEngine and Geospatial Rising Star by Geospatial 🌎 World Media.
