Au début du mois de mai, les utilisateurs de stations météo La Crosse Tecnology de la gamme WD, qui sont connectées sans passer par Internet pour les prévisions météo, devenaient inutilisables. Sans explications préalables, les stations ne recevaient...
Maybe Canada’s male professional sports participants should consider a change of the ‘National Game’?
You know, one they’re actually good at. One they can actually win.
FIFA will let us know about one option very soon, but we should look further afield, perhaps.
History suggests lacrosse, but Tiddly-winks might be as good as it gets.

Who is going to win the Men’s D1 #Lacrosse championship? I don’t know but Notre Dame should win 402 of 1,000 championship weekends. Wrote something up on predicting the games.

Predicting the championship from the final four field I am revisiting last year’s Monte Carlo posts on predicting the outcomes of lacrosse games (here and here). Heading into Memorial Day weekend 2026, the UNC Women’s Lacrosse team has to be feeling confident. Defending champions and favored to win with 5 in 10 chances to take this year’s championship. On the Men’s side, Notre Dame has 4 in 10 chances to win the championship with Princeton having 2.8 chances in 10. Read on to learn more.
Winter #lacrosse is over, but summer lacrosse now starts!
Premier Lacrosse League (#PLL) is already underway. That’s field lacrosse, the type they play in Ivy League schools. I will only be sporadically pay attention to this since there’s no Canadians teams, and there’s something about the touring model that I don’t like. Nevertheless, I respect it for what it is.
What I will definitely be paying attention to is Canadian Senior A box lacrosse. Specifically, the Western Lacrosse Association (#WLA)—which is a local British Columbia phenomenon.
Since the Whitecaps and Lions won’t be playing in Vancouver any time soon, I’ll be splitting my live game experiences between the Vancouver Rise, Vancouver Canadians, and Metro Vancouver WLA teams. Debating whether I should catch a World Cup game but I hear that’s selling for $1,000.
And this year, I hope we find it in us to win the Mann Cup against our Major Series Lacrosse (#MSL) rivals.

That was a very emotional #NLL Final.
I am done with watching sports today. And actually, all these Finals are just tuckering me out.
But to close all this out, support your local #lacrosse team! It’s a great sport. The athletes put so much on the line for not a whole lot of pay. And it’s a great community built upon the oldest sport in North America—invented by indigenous peoples, who are still the heart and soul of the game.

End of 3rd quarter.
This game has settled into defensive chess. Still anyone’s game but Halifax is running out of time.
