I will make six suggestions for activities:
* Rent a bike (maybe a Bixi), and go along the #LachineCanal
* Go to #StJosephsOratory to sit on the steps and watch the sunset. You can get there by Métro and a bit of walking.
* Walk around Old #Montréal from Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours (alluded to in
2/3
The Festival sur le Canal, an annual event along the banks of the Lachine Canal, has been cancelled this year due to lack of funding. Co-founder Carl Comeau blames rising production costs and the amount of paperwork required to secure funding.
Turns out there is a #MontrealPython informal meetup event coming up this Saturday (June 1st, 2024) on the #LachineCanal in #PointeSaintCharles (near #Griffintown) in #SoMTL … the first outdoors event as far as I know, as a family-friendly picnic/potluck, right next to the cycleway. Beautiful weather is to be expected.
I'll be there in case anyone else from the extended #Montreal #Python / #opensource programming community wants to meet to… literally touch grass 😎
