Today is the International Open Hackerspace Day! 👾

I didn’t know about this (thank you for sharing your discovery, @liaizon), but it’s a wonderful coincidence that this very day at 15:00 I’ll be hosting Knitting Our Internet at the newly open SCIFT Makespace! The workshop will most probably be in Italian, but we’ll be open to switch to English if non-Italian speakers are coming.

La Nostra Rete [https://ournet.rocks/it] è un viaggio interattivo nella storia di Internet e un ripensamento collettivo del suo futuro. L’attività consiste in un laboratorio in presenza che dà esempi semplici e tangibili di come funziona Internet, mettendo in questione i fondamenti tecnici su cui si basano i social media mainstream di oggi. Il suo obiettivo principale è smascherare i problemi del capitalismo della sorveglianza, della centralizzazione e il loro impatto ambientale.
