Nevertheless, it is a beautiful book, presented beautifully with the feeling of freshness, healthy ingredients, & good times with friends & family. There is a definite Italian-ness to the book that is enticing, & it includes classics that you may have recipes for already.

I am sure it is going to appeal to many, and certainly fits into the current trend of "home cooking" and "company" themed cookbooks. Mushroom Udon looks my pick of recipes. There is much to like in this book, I just wish it was more #vegetarianfriendly.

Recently I've done a thread on the other platform of #cookbooks with good solid, dependable home-cooked recipes for families and gatherings. Adding to that is another Aussie author, #JuliaBusuttilNishimura, Melbourne-based Italian teacher, food writer and creator of online space Ostro. #AroundTheTable.

Published this year it is hugely popular. Around $30AU but you can find it cheaper. 304 pages, 109 recipes, 34 recipes meat-, fish- and egg-free but only half dozen or so main course dishes - mainly pasta and pizza. So not very #vegetarian friendly. If you cook with eggs you may find more.
