Andreas SebayangMit der Freigabe des Tunnel de Châtelaine für Personenzüge in Genf ensteht eine interessante neue Verbindung. Von Annemasse in Frankreich kann direkt zum Flughafen (oder Vernier) gefahren werden unter Auslassung des Hauptbahnhofs. Den Anfang macht der Léman Express L7 zum Fahrplanwechsel. Man will aber später mehr versuchen.

Der Genfer Flughafen bekommt ab dem Fahrplanwechsel eine direkte Anbindung durch den Léman Express – eine S-Bahn-ähnliche Verbindung. Dadurch können auch Franzosen von Annemasse direkt zum Flughafen reisen. Es gibt auch Züge, die vor allem dem Personal helfen.
