Vom 11.-16. Mai 2026 fand in Palma de Mallorca die diesjährige LREC (Language Resources and Evaluation Conference) statt. 🏝️Auch vom IDGS waren einige Kolleg:innen aus dem DGS-Korpus-Projekt und dem SemaSign-Projekt mit dabei, um am 16. Mai ihre Forschungsprojekte beim internationalen Workshop zum Thema "Representation and Processing of Sign Languages: Language in Motion“ zu präsentieren. 👩‍💻 Es war für alle Beteiligten ein besonderes Erlebnis, sich mit Wissenschaftler:innen von Universitäten aus aller Welt auszutauschen, neue Ideen zu entwickeln und aktuelle Forschungsfelder zum Thema Gebärdensprachen kennen zu lernen. 🤟 #idgsuhh #dgskorpusprojekt #lrec2026 #gebärdensprachforschung

I enjoyed attending the Workshop on Language Technologies for Historical and Ancient Languages on the first day of #LREC2026 and also later in the day meeting someone for the first time in real life (@tschfflr) who I know from the fediverse!

Tomorrow, #lrec2026 starts (for us)! On Tuesday, we are coorganizers of the Social on+NLPSI workshop, on Saturday of the CAS workshop. In between, we have a set of papers across various sessions.
