I do not want to touch the raw bibliographic data, but I think I will have to!
I do wish that `llncs` and `splncs04.bst` were more up-to-date. (that is biblatex friendly so I can disable URLs, not to mention other LaTeX options such as line numbering)
`acmart` has a lot saner defaults and features that 'just work'... (I had to add my own line numbering for reviewers :-(
