In the web interface of #tchncs .de on #lmde7 with #firefox most of the pictures are greyed out and i have to "click to open" because "preview not available:.
In the #mastodon client on Android all pictures are shown.
Sometimes #noscript comes up with a media warning in the new tab if I click to open.
Is there a way/setting to fix the web interface ?

Green with Envy

I decided to not tinker around my Mint disk which already has experimental Wayland session (alot of crashes there which I won't go into much details) so I omitted for LMDE on separate partition using the latest NVIDIA driver. Since Cinnamon is lightweight, so no HDR, didn't need it anyway. Gaming performance is so smooth, almost all apps and applets works.

Ugh ... Need a lot of tinkering to add green color on start button and slightly desaturated blue on the right end, but it is beautiful nonetheless.

Pacjent: #ThinkPad T490, śmiga z #LinuxMint #LMDE6 - brak zastrzeżeń.

Wariant 1: Aktualizacja do #LMDE7 i prawdopodobnie dalszy spokój.

Wariant 2: Zmiana na #MXLinux25 w wersji KDE - obecnie testowany na dysku zewnętrznym. Póki co nie zauważyłem problemów, ale stosowany tylko z doskoku.

Może testowaliście podobne warianty?
Albo ma ktoś doświadczenie ze zmianą przyzwyczajeń w #Cinammon na #KDE ?

Laptop Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (7th Gen) als refurbished Gerät 2023 gekauft. Akku hielt mal noch 2 Std. Anfang der Woche war der Akku dann tot. Ersatzteil bestellt und eingebaut. Nach vollladen, komplett entladen und erneut voll aufladen zeigt die Energiestatistik erfreuliche 10 Stunden Restlaufzeit. Wenn das real nur 5 Std. sind wäre das super

I remember that I had to add a repository to #lmde6 in order to get a kernel which supports the WLAN chip in my #lenovo laptop.
The current line for the #linuxmint part of #lmde7 in /etc/apt/official-package-repositories.list
contains:

deb https://mirror.init7.net/linuxmint gigi main upstream import backport

Could the large number of updates be a result of that line, e.g., "backport" or "upstream" ?
I didn't check the contents prior to the update to #lmde7 .

I use #lmde7 and suddenly there are a lot of updates available. Normally that is no point of worrying. However, with the announcement of #linuxmint beta for the ubuntu-based platforms I wonder whether part of the beta versions of these other environments are really ready to install on #lmde7 ?
In particular new versions of almost all base applications like #cinnamon , mint-install, mint-backup, mintmenu, mintwelcome, all of #nemo , all xapps.
Is that a mistake or what is your experience after the update ?
