In the last episode, Megan shared the lives of #PearlMHart and #HenryGerber - two pioneers of #queerrights in the US, both with local ties to Chicago, Illinois.

Going through the wrong puberty messed me up way more than all the Christian indoctrination.
I have been able to unlearn most of the indoctrination.
I can never undo what years of testosterone did to me. I can only paste over it.

Sometimes I feel enby, but most of the time I just feel cheated and broken, like I'm clinging to enby when I'm not as a consolation prize.
I fantasized about being intersex or a true hermaphrodite because the idea of truly transitioning seemed impossible. I said I was "a little bit of both" because to fully commit was terrifying.

I would gladly trade my slightly used penis for a nice pair of breasts and my testes for working ovaries. If only it worked that way.
I haven't gone for bottom surgery because I don't think it is good enough. I want the full package and that isn't possible, not with any popular surgical techniques today.
Grow it in a lab using my own stem cells. Take colon tissue, skin from my thighs, live flora from a healthy donor. Build me a frankengina. I think my desperation is exactly the reason I wouldn't qualify for any sort of experimental surgery.

I talk to my therapist Thursday afternoon. I guess I have something to talk about.
