My watch reckons I've burned 1844 calories today. I'm doing my best to replenish.
I've already had soup & bread, and sandwiches.

I'm doing the #LDWA #TwoCrosses walk today and I spent the night in #PaddyTheCaddy nearby rather than have a really early start from home.
I am pleased to say that my new bed is very comfortable. π΄
28 miles of Charnwood done, am I worn out by the hills or this beaut? π
Wonderful day out, thank you Sherwood LDWA for resurrecting this awesome event!

I'm pleasantly tired after my 17 mile walk today. It was the LDWA (West Lancs) Anglezarke Amble which starts and ends at Rivington near the Anglezarke Reservoir (North West of Bolton).
There's a long route of 24 miles and a short route of 17 miles. I did the short one and it took me 6 hours 12 minutes. That's a really fast pace for me!
I might post more photos later but, for now, here are the Winter Hill radio/TV masts coming into view. I couldn't see them at all due to fog when I did this walk in 2018!
I'm going on a big #walk tomorrow. It's an #LDWA Challenge Walk. I need to register between 0630 and 0745 and it's at least an hour's drive away.
I need to have a good night's sleep and be well-fed, relaxed and prepared.
It has now gone 8pm. I haven't had my tea. I've just found my gaiters. I've been trying on multiple combinations of socks (normal and waterproof) and shoes. I've now found my other gaiters. Oh, THERE is my mapcase. There's a big pile of walking gear on the floor.
I've had this walk in my diary for months.
When will I ever learn? π€¦ββοΈ
Time for my tea now.
