I wasn’t a housewife- not in the traditional sense sweeping away dust bunnies humming a little tune. I wasn’t a housewife- barefoot and pregnant slaving away over a hot stove with dinner ready when hubby returned home from work. I wasn’t a housewife- trudging down the hallway lugging heavy laundry loads ready to hang out in the sunshine. I wasn’t a housewife- holding a child on each hip as I vacuumed and mopped or scrubbed dirty pots and pans. I wasn’t a housewife- not in the traditional sense instead chores went unfinished as I smeared ink across the page.Source:
