Britain declared a state of emergency in Kenya from 1952-1959. More than 250,000 Kenyans were executed, tortured or imprisoned. More than 1.5 million were held in concentration camps. Documents recording the atrocities were burned or otherwise destroyed.

Kenyans still don't have their land back.

If you don't feel small, underneath old growth trees....older than our great grandparents...there is something that is quite sick, within.

Ancient trees have mesmerizing energies. What a shame, when mankind cannot truly see the forest, when looking at an elder tree.

This precedent chills me. The process of transferring private land to Indigenous ownership is arcane, deliberately bureaucratic, poorly explored and documented.

Ontario's Bill 5, Canada's Bill C-5, are reincarnations of the Doctrine of Discovery, the foundations for Canada's next wave of colonization. If the government decides land is underutilized then it is forfeit. Now they have the supreme court's backing to sell it off in perpetuity
