[Kyomaf2017] Fate/Apocrypha Stage Talk Report | MANGA.TOKYO
Fate/Apocrypha is a currently airing anime and part of the world-wide famous Fate series. Each entry in the Fate series features so-called 'heroic spirits' based on renowned figures of history and legend. These heroic servants can be summoned as 'servants', with each of them taking on a specific servant class, such as Saber, Rider and Caster. The masters and servants each fight in a war known as The Holy Grail War, with the winner being granted one wish. You can learn more about the Fate series in the following introductory article, so check it out if you are new to the world of Fate. Unlike the other Holy Grail Wars, the war in currently-airing anime Fate/Apocrypha is slightly different, and consists of two factions, Red and Black, who fight against each other. On 16-17 September 2017, the biggest anime convention in Western Japan, Kyomaf, was held in the city of Kyoto. Fate/Apocrypha and the smartphone game Fate/Grand Order had a great presence at the event, so check out our photo
MANGA.TOKYO[Kyomaf 2017] Welcome to the Ballroom Stage Event Report | MANGA.TOKYO
When the stage event for Welcome to the Ballroom was announced for this year's Kyomaf (Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair), as the person in charge of the reviews for this series at MANGA.TOKYO I had to go and take a look at the voice actors, see what they had to say and write a report for our dear readers! This event served as my first ever anime convention in Japan, so I was excited about what to expect and how it would be different from conventions back home. The panels seemed like the core of the whole convention and Ballroom was one of the first stages on Saturday, 16 September 2017 as it started at 11:00 am. From left to right: Chiaki Matsuzawa, Shimba Tsuchiya and Nobuhiko Okamoto Guests on stage were the voice of Tatara Fujita, the fairly new Shimba Tsuchiya, and the voice of Kiyoharu Hyodo, the very experienced and well-known Nobuhiko Okamoto. Guiding us through the talk was Chiaki Matsuzawa, who did a nice job by asking the right questions at the right time and followed up

Perhaps you like manga and anime, maybe you can speak a little (or a lot) of Japanese, and we hope you keep up-to-date by reading our website (thank you!), but actually going to an event is a little different. MANGA.TOKYOWe Made a Golden Pikachu Coaster Using Traditional Japanese Techniques | MANGA.TOKYO
We are sure that everybody visiting this site has seen a Pikachu at some point in their lives, and you'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who doesn't like the lovable electric Pokemon. Pikachu loves trying out different things, and at the Pokemon Center in Kyoto you can find exclusive items with special Pikachu that are associated with the ancient capital. The male Pikachu is a court noble from the ancient Heian period and the female Pikachu is a maiko (a type of Geisha). They are both extremely beautiful and usually only available at Pokemon Center Kyoto. At Kyomaf2017, we were able to take part in a special silkscreening experience where we could make a one-of-a-kind Pikachu coaster! The experience was being provided by Banba Senkogyo Co. Ltd, which specialises in traditional Japanese silkscreening techniques. First of all we could choose a design and coloir that we wanted to use. We chose a Maiko design with light gold ink. Then, we sat down while the expert prepared the coaster
