Websterling🤯 JUST realized how much this series shaped my idea of true devotion and love. Jocelyn is a huge part of my annoyance w/ male protags acting against loved ones’ priorities “for their own good” to protect himself from discomfort or loss.
…and w/ moments I’ve failed that test myself.
I’ve read pre/sidequels that require main series familiarity to follow. But the poignance of Jocelyn’s “youthful innocence” knowing the price of maturity and how complex his understanding of true devotion will become is a level all its own. Looking forward to rereading but glad I went in this order.
