The camp for #Kurdish refugees in #Lavrio was raided by the Greek police at 03:30 today. The police broke down the gates and are forcibly evacuating the camp. Several Kurdish refugees were detained to be transferred to other camps.
The Greek government-affiliated media presented the operation against the camp as a gesture to #Turkey and labelled the political Kurdish refugees as 'terrorists'. This is clearly a media-supported attack on Kurdish refugees.

Last night Greek police raided the self-organised #Kurdish refugee camp in #Lavrio without warning & violently evicted over 50 people incl. children from their homes, awakening memories of state violence that the refugees had fled from!
