A peek at opening weekend for the Orchid show at NEBG - the two greenhouses were decorated to the nines with orchids on every surface, very beautiful and also very nostalgic - reminds me of looking up to #orchids in the trees back home.

Also make my customary visit to the variegated #kumquat tree

Bellissima pianta di Citrus japonica, anche detto Kumquat, o mandarino cinese. Super profumati di oli essenziali, agri di sapore ma anche molto dolci. Tagliati a fettine nell'insalata regalano twist esotico. Fanno a che molto bene alla salute, perché ricchi di Vitamina C e altri preziosi micronutrienti e antiossidanti. Beato chi ne ha una pianta nel giardino 🍊👍😋

Ungezüchtete #Kumquat aus dem Garten des Elternhauses meines Schwagers. *Hurra Genitiv*
Die Schwiegermutter meiner Schwester pflückt sie jedes Jahr und verteilt sie in der Familie. Auch 2026 bekam ich etwas davon. Daraus wird Marmelade.
姉の婚家の庭に自生する #金柑を使ってジャム。金柑1キロでこの量になる。
