You know "bitterballen" ? Similar to the kroket
( I posted about them this week : #kroket )
My wife's late Dutch uncle tried them early 60's in Hamilton- Niagara region. Not a success.
We know that area rather well, up to Algonquin.
Never saw them anywhere there .

Mentioning this Dutch snack in Kdrama "Would You Marry Me ?" is surprising !
This snack is already in Escoffier's "Le Guide Culinaire' , 1902.
Ending up in The Netherlands as ¨kroket¨, staple snack in Dutch snack-culture.
Visiting a city saying you never saw any of those is not possible.
I am not sure if this fits in South Korea 's "health¨-image.
