THE TOTALISM GUITAR OCTET is a new electric guitar ensemble formed in Berlin by Aidan Baker (Nadja, Tavare) and Adam Hocker and featuring the players Dirk Dresselhaus (SchneiderTM, Faust, Krautfuzz), Mika Bajinksi (Sometimes With Others), Liú Mottes (Alien Baby Collective, Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys), Kim Vu (Hugging), Tristen Bakker (Vrouw!, Tavare), and Tim Wyskida (Khanate, Insect Ark, Blind Idiot God). THE TOTALISM GUITAR OCTET is a revival of the legendary guitar ensemble format originally popularized by the works of American composers Glenn Branca and Rhys Chatham. The Totalism Guitar Octet's first concert will take place on April 9, 2026, at the Genezareth Church in Neukölln, as part of the "Church in Session" series, presented in collaboration with the non-profit radio station Keith F'eM.

Im April ist das #Krautrock-Urgestein #Kraan auf Tour und präsentiert seine nagelneue Platte „All In”!

55 Jahre gibt es diese Band schon und die drei Gründungsmitglieder spielen heute wieder zusammen als Kraan, wobei zwei davon durchgängig dabei waren.

In meinem eigenen Leben musikalisch wichtig waren vor allem die Kraan-Alben der 70er, insbesondere die „Andy Nogger“ (1974) habe ich viel gehört. Ebenso die „Let It Out“ (1975).

Ob mir das neue Album gefallen wird? Werden wir sehen. Auf SWR2 gab's gestern schon mal eine Hörprobe, es hörte sich doch ziemlich klassisch nach Kraan an, mit Unisono-Parts Gitarre/Synthesizer dem üblichen endgeilen Hellmut-Hattler-Bass.

BEEAH's very first release 'MMIV' is a playful conglomerate of #FakeJazz #Krautrock and #Experimental music. We loved to put eight different parts in one song and it often magically worked out. It was also the beginning of a long-lasting friendship with Jürgen whom I still collaborate with today.
