Since we are are about half way through 2025, I'm posting my favourite Kpop song of the year so far:

Hearts2Hearts --The Chase

Over the weeks since its release, I've come to fall deeply in love with the vocal tones and harmonies, the matching of instruments like the glockenspiel with the "sparkle sparkle" of the lyrics, and the bass's immersion of the listener into the dreamscape.

I chose this Inkigayo stage because the black and white outfits work so well with the tightly synchronized choreography. The visual and performance aspects of Kpop matter to me, and in this case are part of the reason for my finding the Hearts2Hearts version of '"The Chase" more enchanting than that of FLO.

Although "The Chase" is not a flashy debut, we sense at its conclusion that we have experienced something of romance and adventure which we cannot put into words yet which is full of power and meaning.

The Kpop industry produces so much
that I could all too easily become blasé. Then I watch this and feel that I am witness to a miracle.
