Koinobori are colorful carp-shaped flags that symbolize success and advancement for children. At the Fukahara District Park in Kumano Town, about 130 Koinobori were donated by families whose children had grown up. Every year, from late March to mid-May, it is a tradition for the community to have them above in the hope of healthy growth of children and revitalization. The time you can see the collaboration between a tree full of cherry blossoms and Koinobori are limited to about a week.
