One of the unexpected joys of this trip to India was the #ParimalShais concert at the #KochiBiennale. It was a joy to lose myself so completely for a few hours of Malayalam and global electronic music.
It's a clichéd diaspora experience, but as an #IndianAmerican, I'm not used to being at a concert like this where everyone looks like me. I danced more than I ever have before. Maybe the tight space, the anonymity, the crowd of brown bodies?
