I picked this 3D printer up at the same time I bought the Anycubic Kobra 3 combo. It was being clearance out and was cheap - actually I picked up this Biqu BX and a Biqu B1 printer.
Now ask why when I was getting a better printer? I'll say it was cheap!!

What a pain in the *** this has been, who thought HDMI was a good cable to use for the print head/sensors
3D Printing GCode Question:
Some how I set my print temp too low (by quite a bit) - Looking at the GCODE in a text editor I see these lines:
; EXECUTABLE_BLOCK_START
;TYPE:Custom
G9111 bedTemp=60 extruderTemp=200
Can I just change the temp here and save the file - or do I need to just make the changes on the printer just before it starts printing?
(Or reslice with the correct settings)

My version of R2D2 with moving legs, head, and retractable center leg. I may try to domore detail work on the skin in the future, but I'm not very good with that stuff yet. Inspired by someone's version with wheels and moving head, but Ican't seem to find it to link it. Any makes would be nice to see. Aug 19, 2015Added a larger version. It's 120% the size of the original and stands roughly 92mm tall. It's got 1.2 v2 in the file name. I've printed in at both .2 and .15 layer heights. The gapsbetween moving parts have been decreased because just scaling it up made the legsand head too loose. Have fun.Jan 21, 2017Ok here's the new version, more detail on the body. Moving parts should break free more easily. Also added some tabs that will help keep the smaller floating parts from getting flipped out when it starts printing those parts, also the slower speed helps keep that from happening. (hinges of arms and inside base of head) Also I removed the old 120% model, will work on fixing a larger one of this version later if there is demand for it.
Me today: #anycubic #kobra3 feels too closed. Nothing is available without using their cloud, which is too proprietary. I think I'll need to get rid of it.

What are #3Dprinters good for?
Printing toys for the grandkids of course.....
Made a #BenchyBoat 100% bigger then the original (or 200%)..... well, because the new printer can handle larger prints better then my older printers could. And because the grandkid thinks I'm a toy maker.
I guess, I am kind of.

Right at 40 minutes, and it's as good as any of my old printers, just faster.
A little stringing, and a little dimple on the back, and really can't read the back plate. But otherwise I don't really see anything wrong with this.
I love my new #3dprinter The #Anycubic #Kobra3 (multi-color capable) fast, pretty good prints, and super easy to setup.
I didn't even need to setup an account (the manual kind of makes it sound like you need an online account)
There are only two things that I kind of question, one was a pretty easy fix, thou took a little setup.
1) Why is the Ace Multi Filament box connector on the front of the machine
2) no official support for Linux
For the 2nd they provide a #OrcaSlicer profile

I made a trip up to #Columbus #Ohio this morning, because #Microcenter has the #Anycubic #Kobra3 #3Dprinter Before i went up I reversed it online, just so I knew I wouldn't be wasting a trip up.
And I also decided to look to see what they had on clearance.....
And I found 2 #Biqu #Bigtreetech 3d printers, one was $80.00 and one was $56.00
I didn't really need 3 brand new printers, but at that price it's hard to pass them up.
