Designed my first jumper and wanted to show it off! 🎉

I'm honestly so pleased with this! It's pretty simple looking, but the main thing for me when I started making it was that I wanted something I could knit in the round, and that could imitate the look of set-in sleeves without me actually having to do any sewing. I used German short rows to create the sleeves and I think the end result looks great - hopefully that comes through in the second photo!

I'm already working on a second one as there are definitely things I want to improve on - I think the ribbing and the collar join could be neater for a start, and I'd like fewer gaps in the under-arms. I'm also going to add something to the front of the next one using duplicate stitch, as I've never done that before and it looks fun!

But yeah, as first attempts go I'm really happy with this! 😊

Okay, so here's what I spent most of January knitting!

I wanted to try making a jumper with set-in sleeves, bc I'd never done that before. It's turned out mostly okay - the sewing at the shoulders looks lovely but I ended up with quite a lot of excess on the underside of the sleeves, so clearly something was a bit up with the maths.

In any case, I'm still really pleased with the finished result. Now I'm just waiting for some warmer weather and a sunny day so I can block it!
