40 years ago today (22 June 1985) it rained in the UK. I know this because I spent all the day and most of the night in a field in Hertfordshire with about 60,000 other people for The Return of the Knebworth Fayre - Deep Purple's first gig in the UK since they'd got back together the previous year. Not my pictures - any I took have vanished into the mists of time.
