Random, but I play in the capital area concert band and our last concert had a piece titled klezmer. i'm in the aforementioned city.
I don't know if I have any followers on here who are 1) from Olympia WA and 2) klezmer fans 😅 but my dear friend Mae is putting on a klezmer weekend there March 27th, 28th and 29th. Check it out!

Some of these tunes are pretty cool and never really made it into the common repertoire in the klezmer revival, not even in the most niche jam sessions as far as I know. The band Budowitz did perform a bunch of them on their Wedding Without a Bride (2000) CD years back, this is the one I could find on youtube.

There are a few versions on the Library of Congress, like this one which only has melodies, not chords. Or other publications with two or three of the pieces printed separately.

this clarifies what happened to the grant I was involved with as a team member in that maybe hadn't reached active status and wasn't being defunded by this effort, although another Klezmer Institute project was, deemed as being DEI because it aimed to make music manuscripts accessible (🙄)
