#oskarundco #osawa #kinkakuji

Kinkaku-ji Temple from my trip to Kyoto in November. This might be my favourite shot of the temple itself.
Small detail that I also love, the grasses near the edge of the pond at the bottom making fun little shapes with their reflections in the water.

Kinukake-no-michi ends (or begins) at the 'Golden Pavilion' (金閣寺).
Kinkaku-ji, reliquary hall of Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺), was the last remaining piece of Ashikaga Yoshimitsu's sprawling 'Kitayama Palace' (北山殿). The original was burnt down in 1950.

Kyoto second day, Kinkaku-ji.
I've been once before about 15 years ago and remember it being "neat I guess?", but that was in the off season, I don't think the weather was great, and I was probably jetlagged.
Gotta say, visiting again on a sunny morning with full fall colours was really something else.
These are off my phone, and I'm pretty sure I've got some great shots on my camera as well. Almost a challenge to get a bad shot today.
My discomfort in large groups is vindicated. Although there are hordes here. Kinkaku-ji Temple, Kyoto, Japan.
